LEI Code Renewal

LEI codes are continuously validated and automatically renewed. You will receive a renewal notification by email 30 days before the expiry date.

LEI Code Transfer

Already have an LEI code issued by another operator? Transfer it to the Fina service quickly and easily - with no interruption to the code's validity and no change to the LEI code itself.

How to use the Fina LEI Service?

The assigned LEI codes directory and incorrect data reporting are available to everyone - no registration required.

To issue, renew, or transfer an LEI code, or to update your data, registration via an online form is required.
A request may be submitted by a person authorised to represent the legal entity or by an authorised representative. During registration, the application automatically generates the required documentation.

What is an LEI?

The LEI enables the unique identification of legal entities participating in the global financial market. An LEI code is mandatory for all legal entities active in EU financial markets, including:

  • issuers of financial instruments admitted to trading on a regulated market or a multilateral trading facility (MTF)
  • investment firms
  • all entities entering into transactions in financial instruments on regulated markets and other organised trading platforms (MTFs)
