Payment Systems

Payment systems are crucial for conducting interbank payments, which include the calculation and settlement of payment transactions. Fina has established and manages the Euro NKS and EuroNKSInst systems.

Payment Systems in Croatia

Payment operations in Croatia involve transferring funds through systems with formal, standardized procedures and common rules for processing, settlement, and/or clearing of payment transactions. These operations are conducted via three payment systems. Fina administers the EuroNKS and EuroNKSInst systems, while the TARGET system is jointly managed by Banca d'Italia, Banque de France, and Deutsche Bundesbank, with the European Central Bank serving as the supervisory authority.

EuroNKS

A unique payment infrastructure for the settlement of national and cross-border SEPA credit transfers and SEPA direct debits.

EuroNKSInst

This payment system facilitates the execution of SEPA instant credit transfers among its participants, almost in real-time.

TARGET

A centralized system that allows for the settlement in central bank money of EuroNKS and EuroNKSInst payment transactions.
